Title: Case-control study of cognitive-behavior therapy in the tendency of internet addiction and loneliness among the undergraduates
Abstract: Objective To study the situation about the tendency of internet addiction and the sense of the loneliness among the undergraduates,and to explore the accessibility and the effects of therapy in the undergraduates with internet addiction tendency.Methods The situation about the tendency of internet addiction and the sense of the loneliness among the 804 undergraduates were surveyed with the Scale of Internet Addiction and Emotional-Social Loneliness Inventory,the 98 subjects with internet addiction tendency were randomly divided into experimental group and control group,and the experimental group were treated with the cognitive-behavior therapy,SPSS was used to analyse the data.Results In the scores of the emotional isolates,emotional loneliness,social isolates and social loneliness,the undergraduates with internet addiction tendency were significantly higher than that in the undergraduates without internet addiction tendency [(15.551 0±5.824 1) vs(11.540 8±3.355 8),(12.938 8±4.285 7) vs(9.826 5±3.629 9),(14.091 8±5.087 1) vs(10.346 9±4.147 0),(11.979 6±4.679 4) vs(8.265 3±2.909 5);P0.05];after treatment,the experimental groups' scores of the Scale of Internet Addiction and Emotional-Social Loneliness Inventory were significantly lower than before,[(33.183 7±3.199 4) vs(45.000 0±7.365 5),(34.489 8±4.528 3) vs(49.877 6±16.019 0),P0.05].Conclusions The undergraduates with internet addiction tendency are more likely to suffer the sense of loneliness than undergraduates without internet addiction tendency,the cognitive-behavior therapy has certain effects on the undergraduates with internet addiction tendency.
