Abstract:Polypyrrole(PPY)/polysulfone(PSF) composite films are prepared by electropolymerization using cyclic votammetry technique.The morphology and chemical component of the composite films are characterized...Polypyrrole(PPY)/polysulfone(PSF) composite films are prepared by electropolymerization using cyclic votammetry technique.The morphology and chemical component of the composite films are characterized by scanning electron microscopy(SEM) and FT-IR spectra.The electrochemical properties of the composite films are examined by cyclic voltammetry(CV) and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy(EIS) techniques.It is shown that the composite films prepared by this method have bi-layer structure with asymmetrical pores where the inner layer(contact with the working electrode) comprises conducting polypyrrole with a few pores and the outer layer(contact with the solution) is composed of non-conducting polysulfone with a large number of micro pores.It also exhibits quite repeatable properties,better electrochemical stability and electroactivity in acidic solution.Read More
