Title: Clinical Observation on Baohe Pill and Erchen Decoction for Treating Pediatric Patients with Dyspepsia Cough
Abstract: Objective:To investigate the clinical efficacy of treating pediatric patients with dyspepsia cough with Baohe Pill and Erchen Decoction. Methods:123 pediatric patients with dyspepsia cough cases were randomly divided into a control group of 60 cases and a observation group of 63 cases from March 2011 to February 2013. Patients in the control group were treated with children cough oral liquid deposition for oral treatment,3 times / day;while patients in the observation group were treated with self-made decoction—Baohe Pill and Erchen Decoction for treatment,15 days for a course. We observed the clinical symptoms of the patients such as cough,gurgling with sputum,indigestion and loss of appetite,constipation,feverishness in palms and soles pretherapy and post-treatment,and compared the clinical efficacy of two groups of patients after one course of treatment. Results:The efficiency for patients in the control group was 71.7%,while for patients in the observation group it was 92.1%,which was clearly higher than that of the control group. The clinical efficacy of the two groups was significantly different(P0.05). The clinical symptoms of the patients in two groups were improved clearly. The degree of change in the observation group was more pronounced. The comparison of the two groups was significantly different(P0.05). Conclusion:The BaohePill and Erchen Decoction are classical TCM prescriptions,which have the function of promoting digestion,promoting the circulation of qi,tonifying spleen and stomach,drying damp and eliminating phlegm,which can effectively relieve the clinical symptoms of the patients such as cough,gurgling with sputum,indigestion and loss of appetite,constipation,feverishness in palms and soles,has satisfactory results and is worthy of further research and development.
