Title: The value of combined detection of serum CA125 and CA72-4 in the diagnosis of the ovarian carcinoma
Abstract: Objective To study the value of combined detection of the serum levels of CA125 and CA72-4 in the diagnosis of the ovarian carcinoma. Methods Serum levels of CA125 and CA72-4 in 58 patients with ovarian carcinoma, 48 patients with benign ovarian tumor and 50 normal controls were measured by Elctrochemiluminescence immuno-assay (ECLIA). Results The levels of CA125 and CA72-4 in ovarian carcinoma group were significantly higher than those in benign ovarian tumor and normal control groups (P0.01). Sensitivities of CA125 and CA72-4 were 79.3% and 60.3%, respectively. Sensitivity of combined detection of two kinds tumor markers was 89.6%. Conclusions The combined detection of CA125 and CA72-4 were of important clinical value in the ovarian carcinoma.
