Abstract:A green process for production of biodiesel by cooking waste oil was put forward in this paper.Using the magnetic solid super acidic non-homogeneous catalyst SO2-4/TiO2-Fe3O4,with cooking waste oil an...A green process for production of biodiesel by cooking waste oil was put forward in this paper.Using the magnetic solid super acidic non-homogeneous catalyst SO2-4/TiO2-Fe3O4,with cooking waste oil and methanol as raw materials,biodiesel was produced through the transesterification reaction.Adopting a three-factor regression orthogonal design test method,the optimum reaction conditions were determined for production of biodiesel by investigating the effects of reaction temperature,methanol dosage and catalyst amount on the esterification rate.Regression equation was established by treating the experimental results and mathematical statistics analysis showed that the regression equation was reliable.At the same time,the structure of the magnetic solid super acid catalyst was characterized by IR,XRD,SEM and EDS.Compared with the traditional homogeneous catalyst(H2SO4,NaOH),SO2-4/TiO2-Fe3O4,which had high catalytic activity and was easy to separate with reusability,was an environmentally friendly catalyst for preparation of biodiesel.Read More
