Title: Research on the Panton-Valentine Leukocidin Gene of Methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus Aureus
Abstract: Objective To learn the Panton-Valentine Leukocidin gene of Methicillin resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA). Methods 45 strains of MRSA were clinically isolated from the patients in The First Hospital of HeBei Medical University from January 2007 to June 2008.The Panton-Valentine Leukocidin gene PVL were detected by polymerase chain reaction(PCR) methods. Results Among 45 strains of MRSA, the rate of positive of the Panton-Valentine Leukocidin gene were 26.7%(12/45). Conclusion The Panton-Valentine Leukocidin gen e in Multiple drug-resistance MRSA were higher than. PVL was important causative agent of MRSA.
