Title: Influence of process conditions on catalytic oxidation of hydrogen chloride
Abstract: Using home-made copper-based catalyst with copper dicholoride as the active component, chlorine was prepared by hydrogen chloride catalytic-oxidation technology which was similar to Deacon process. The influence of reaction temperature, volume ratio of hydrogen chloride to oxygen and space velocity on chlorine yield was investigated by orthogonal experiments. The results showed that with the enhancement of the reaction temperature, hydrogen chloride conversion increased;with the decrease of the volume ratio of hydrogen chloride to oxygen and increase of oxygen dosage, hydrogen chloride conversion obviously enhanced.Under space velocity( 0.11- 0.15) h- 1and more than 0.20 h- 1,hydrogen chloride conversion had little change and remarkably reduced, respectively.Under the condition of reaction temperature 420 ℃,volume ratio of hydrogen chloride to oxygen 2∶ 1 and space velocity 0.15 h- 1,the maximum conversion of hydrogen chloride reached 76.98%- 80.58%.
