Title: Clinical efficacy of Xuebijing injection in the treatment of severe acute pancreatitis
Abstract: Objective To observe the clinical efficacy of Xuebijing injection for severe acute pancreatitis(SAP). Methods Seventy-three patients with SAP were divided into experiment group and control group according to the treatment.Conservative treatment was given in control group.Based on the treatment in control group,Xuebijing injection was additionally injected twice a day in experiment group for 7 d continuously. The time of relieving the abdominal pain and distension, the time of evacuation and the body temperature in two groups were observed.White cell count, blood and urine amylase, blood calcium and coagulation function before therapy and 1,3,7 d after therapy, and clinical curative effects were also recorded. Results The total effective rate and the curative rate in experiment group were significantly higher than those in control group(P0.05).The white cell count, levels of blood and urine amylase at 3,7 d and blood glucose at 7 d were significantly decreased in experiment group, and blood calcium increased, and coagulation function were improved. The time of relieving abdominal pain and distension, and the time of evacuation were shorter than those in control group(P0.05) The incidence of complication and the recovery time of body temperature in experiment group were lower than those in control group, but there was no significant difference(P0.05). Conclusion Xuebijing injection is effective to treat SAP.
