Description: The orthogonal test and single factor test are carried out to investigate the effect of composition and concentration of silicate electrolyte on formation rate of MAO coating on aluminium alloy 6063.Results show that the optimum formula of electrolyte which ensures both better quality and more rapid formation rate of MAO coating is Na2SiO3-8 g/L,NaOH-2 g/L,NaWO3-1 g/L,C10H14Na2O4·2H2O-2 g/L.
