Title: Estimation of Grassland Photosynthesis Parameters Based on MODIS-BASED——Taking Inner Mongolia as an Example
Abstract: With the aid of geographic information system(GIS) software ArcGIS and remote sensing image processing software ERDAS IMAGE,using MODIS data and TOMS's reflectivity of UV band, photosynthetic active radiation(PAR),fraction of photosynthetic active radiation(FPAR) and absorbed photosynthetic active radiation(APAR) of grassland in growing season in Inner Mongolia were estimated, and their spatiotemporal variations, and the climate factors impacting FPAR,PAR were analyzed. The results showed that the calculated PAR,FPAR and APAR values were identical with other researchers' results. The methods is available to model and estimate grassland's NPP.The average PAR,FPAR and APAR were about 1973.8 MJ/m2,0.275 and 516.64 MJ/m2 respectively in growing season in Inner Mongolia.Their spatiotemporal variations in growing season in Inner Mongolia were obvious: The spatial distribution of PAR and FPAR was gradually descending from the northeast to southwest, while PAR was on the contrary. From beginning of the growing season, the PAR,FPAR and APAR was gradually increasing, but the peak value presented at different month. The variation of FPAR and APAR of different grassland type was very obvious, which should be paid more attention to when grassland's NPP was modeled and estimated.
