Title: Research on the Perceptual Learning Preferences of Non-English Majors
Abstract: This paper makes a tentative study of the perceptual learning preference of non-English majors within the theoretical framework of learning styles theory proposed by Kate Kinsella(1993).It studies the overall tendency in learning styles among the non-English majors and differences of perceptual learning preferences between students of arts and of science, and between students from traditional teaching classes and those from modern on-line ones. The purpose of the research is to find out whether teaching methods can influence students' learning styles and how.Suggestions on teaching strategies are put forward to conclude the paper.
