Title: Determination of 3’-Chloromethylacetophenone in Workplace Air by Gas Chromatography
Abstract: Objective To establish a method for determination of 3’-chloromethylacetophenone in the air of ketoprofen workplaces. Methods The 3’-chloromethylacetophenone was sampled using activated carbon tube and then desorbed by ethyl acetate. All the components were determined by gas chromatograph with FID after complete separation with FFAP capillary column. Results This method presented a linear relation within 5-1 000 μg/ml, r value was 0.999 2. The detection limit was 1.67 mg/m3. Desorption efficiencies were 92.2%-101.5%. The break through volume of 100 mg of activated carbon was 5.0 mg. Conclusions The present method is feasible for determination of 3’-chloromethylacetophenone in workplace air.
