Title: Pulmonary vein isolation in paroxysmal atrial fibrillation
Abstract: Objective To explore the method and effect of radiofrequency ablation in paroxysmal atrial fibrillation. Methods To completely isolate the pulmonary vein, pulmonary vein potentials were ablated with temprature-control ablation catheter guided by circular mapping of pulmonary vein in 5 cases of paroxysmal atrial fibrillation originated from pulmonary vein. All patients were followed up for 9~28 months. Results The immediate success rate was 100%.In term of follow-up, 2 cases were no recurrence, 2 cases were effectiveness, and 1 case was non-effectivness, without any complication. Conclusion Pulmonary vein isolation in paroxysmal atrial fibrillation is a radiofrequency method with higher success rate, safty and simple method, and with good prospect.
