Abstract:36 cross bred piglets,weaned in 28-day-old,and the average body weight was 5.22 kg±0.89 kg,were selected to study the effect of AEWP on the intestinal content NH4-N.The piglets were divided into exper...36 cross bred piglets,weaned in 28-day-old,and the average body weight was 5.22 kg±0.89 kg,were selected to study the effect of AEWP on the intestinal content NH4-N.The piglets were divided into experiment groups and control groups,6 piglets were in each group,and the experiments were repeated 3 times.In the experimental groups,piglets were administrated orally with AEWP,at a 10 mL dose per day for 10 days besides the basal diet.The indophenol blue method was used to detect NH4-N in intestinal ingesta.The results showed that NH4-N contents in caecum and colon of experimental group in 28 days were significantly lower than that in control group(P0.01 and P0.05).The NH4-N content of colon in experimental group in 35 days was significantly lower than that in control group(P0.05),and the NH4-N contents of ileum in both groups were not signifiantly different.Therefore,the administration of AEWP in weanling piglets may decrease the NH4-N contentsin each part of intestine,improve productive performance,and reduce diarrhea.Read More
