Title: Isolation of endophyte from wild liquorice in North Shaanxi and screening of their antifungal activity.
Abstract: 21 strains of endophytes were isolated from the roots of wild liquorice in North Shaanxi by the method of tissue separation. They included 12 strains of endophytic bacteria,6 strains of endophytic fungi and 3 strains of endophytic actinomycetes. The antifungal activity of the supernatant fermentation from all of endophytes were tested in vitro. The results indicated that the supernatant fermentation of all inhibited hyphae growth of 7 species investigated plant-pathogenic fungal in vitro.Especially that of Z4 strain and F1 strain could markedly inhibite the hyphae growth to Botryosphaeria berengeriana and Alternaria alternata.Their inhibition rate against Botryosphaeria berengeriana and Alternaria alternate were 92.36%,90.16% and 91.20%,90.43%,respectively.The EC50 value against Botryosphaeria berengeriana and Alternaria alternata were only 54.38,90.31 and 57.50,89.58 mg·L-1,respectively.In addition, the protective effect of the fermentation products diluted 10 times against Botryosphaeria berengeriana were 75.39% and 73.13% on apple and the therapeutic effect were 67.61% and 60.75%,respectively.It was showed that the further investigating of antifungal activity in endophytes Z4 and F1 were necessary.
