Abstract: This thesis intends to offer a new insight into the comparative study of literature. It starts off from “nativism”,which is advanced by Ou Hong, and then , after scrutinizing Nietszche's “will to power”, Foucault's “power discourse” and Danne's three decisive factors which determine the formation of national cultural consciousness, and through analyses and comparisons, it comes to the conclusion that national cultural consciousness is deeply affected by the will to power, and as a result, nativism is also affected by it. This offers a new insight into the study of nativism , and then comparative study of literature, that is, scrutinizing nativism in terms of the will to power, and studying the changes in nativism according to the vicissitude of power, and basing on this, scrutinizing the influence, reception and resistance in the area of literature between different countries.
