Title: Effects of Different Potassium Levels on Yield and Quality of Watermelon
Abstract: 【Objective】The experiment was conducted to study the effects of potassium on yield and quality of watermelon,through the different applications of Potassium.【Method】Appling N 135 kg/hm2 and P2O5 105 kg/hm2 with different amount of Potassium Chloride(KCl).【Result】The results indicated that different potassium fertilizer had different effects on agronomic characters yield,quality and economic benefit of watermelon.With the increasing of application rate of potassium fertilizer ,yield of watermelon increased by 5 569-9 915 kg/hm2,increase amplitude was as high as 12.1%-21.5%,income raised by 3 161-4 869 yuan/hm2,which significantly promoted VC content of watermelon by 46.6%-76.4%,during the fruit expanding process the uptake of watermelon was about 60% of the total uptake.The maximum use efficiency of potassium fertilizer was 70.1%.【Conclusion】So that,potassium fertilizer played an important role in the growth and development of watermelon.
