Title: Effect analysis on modified radical mastectomy and radical mastectomy
Abstract: Objective To compare clinical effect of modified radical mastectomy and radical mastectomy. Methods Fiftyeight cases of breast cancer were selected and randomly divided into the research group and the control group and each group had 29 cases. The research group underwent modified radical mastectomy while the control group underwent radical mastectomy, and the time of follow-up visit were 12 months. Complications and recurrence rates of two groups were compared. Results The incidence rate of postoperative complications of research group( 6. 90%),such as the skin flap necrosis, wounds effusion and upper limb swelling were lower than those of the control group( 27. 59%,P 0. 05). After 12 months of follow-up visit, the difference of the recurrence rates for two groups had no statistical significance( P 0. 05). Conclusion Modified radical mastectomy can effectively reduce the incidence of complications, achieve the forward curative effect of traditional surgery and is worth to be widely used clinically.
