Title: Clinical Observation of Longdan Xiegan Decoction Combined with Wendan Decoction in Treating Gastroesophageal Reflux Disease Patients with Gallbladder Heat Attacking Stomach:A Report of 40 Cases
Abstract: Objective:To evaluate the clinical effect of Longdan Xiegan Decoction combined with Wendan Decoction in treating gastroesophageal reflux disease(GERD) with the syndrome pattern of gallbladder heat attacking stomach.Methods:Eighty qualified patients were equally randomized into two groups.Traditional Chinese medicine(TCM) group received Longdan Xiegan Decoction combined with Wendan Decoction,and west medicine(WM)group received Omeprazole combined with Talcid(Hydrotalcite Tablets).The course of the treatment covered eight weeks.The clinical effect and endoscopic effect were observed after treatment.Results:The clinical symptoms in both groups were improved effectively.The improvement of bitter sensation in the mouth and dry throat,heartburn,throat discomfort and dry stool in the TCM group was superior to that in the WM group(P 0.01).The relief of esophageal mucosal inflammation in the TCM group was similar to that in the WM group(P 0.05),while the improvement of gastric bile reflux in the TCM group was superior to that in the WM group(P 0.05).Conclusion:Longdan Xiegan Decoction combined with Wendan Decoction has certain effect on GERD patients with the syndrome pattern of gallbladder heat attacking stomach.
