Methods A total of 46 patients w ith diarrhea irrita...Objective To investigate the effects of probiotics and glutamine on intestinal microorganisms of patients under diarrhea irritable bow el syndrome. Methods A total of 46 patients w ith diarrhea irritable bow el syndrome w ere collected and randomly divided into treatment group and control group. Patients in control group( n = 23) w ere treated w ith the routine comprehensive therapy,w hile patients in treatment group( n = 23) w ere treated w ith the probiotics and glutamine on the basis of the routine comprehensive therapy. The changes in intestinal flora of the tw o groups w ere detected at 1 d before treatment and 4 w eeks after treatment. Results There w as no significant difference in intestinal flora betw een the tw o groups before treatment( P 0. 05). Compared w ith control group,the recovery time of abdominal pain and diarrhea w ere shorter in treatment group. After treatment,the number of lactobacillus and enterobacteria of treatment groups increased( P 0. 05),and the number of fungi decreased( P 0. 05),there w ere significant differences betw een the tw o groups( P 0. 05). Conclusion The probiotics and glutamine can increase gut probiotics,maintain the equilibrium of the microecosystem in intestines,and relieve the abdominal pain and diarrhea in the clinical application.Read More
