Title: Evaluation of the Regional Left Ventricular Systolic Function in Patenets with Myocardial Infarction Using Real-time Three-dimensional Echocardiography
Abstract: Objective To assess the clinical value of real-time three-dimensional echocardiograghy(RT-3DE) in evaluating regional left ventricular systolic function in patients with anterior myocardial infarction and anteroseptal myocardial infarction. Methods The study consisted of forty-five healthy volunteers and fifty-three patients with anterior myocardial infarction and anteroseptal myocardial infarction, and the 17-segment myocardial model was adopted, the regional end diastolic volume(rEDV),regional end systolic volume(rESV),regional ejection fraction(rEF)were assessed by RT-3DE.Results Compared with controls,rEDV and rESV of myocardial infarction group increased significantly(P0.05),but rEF decreased significantly(P0.05).Compensated segments were observed in patients with myocardial infarction,in the myocardial infarction group,rEF′was correlated with EF(r=0.914,P0.05).Conclusion RT-3DE provides a mew method in assessing the regional left ventricular systolic function.
