Abstract:Objective To investigate the comparison between P 53 gene mutation and neucleoprotein mutation in lung cancer.Methods 54 samples of lung cancers were collected and PCR SSCP technique was used to detec...Objective To investigate the comparison between P 53 gene mutation and neucleoprotein mutation in lung cancer.Methods 54 samples of lung cancers were collected and PCR SSCP technique was used to detect the mutation.Results There were 22 DNA mutations (41%) and 32 neucleoprotein mutations (59%).In 22 DNA mutations,neucleoprotein mutations were also found,while in 32 no DNA mutations,9 neucleoprotein mutations were found(28%).P 53 gene DNA mutation showed significant correlation with neucleoprotein mutation and both correlated with lymph node metastasis(P0.01).Conclusion PCR SSCP was a highly sensitive method to detect if P 53 gene mutated.Patients with P 53 mutations suffered poor prognosis.Read More
