Roof accident accounts for a large portion of safety accidents in production safety of coal mines. Hence, appropriate supports of roofs are an issue to be seriously addressed in mining operations. The roof in a mining field of full seam fully-mechanized workface is characterized by large span and height, complicated mine pressure and significant control difficulty. With respect to the rigidity characteristics of the full seam fully-mechanized workface of No.9 and No.10 coal seam of ** Coal Mine, the support working resistance and roof support intensity parameters are theoretically figured out. Along with the results from the similarity simulation experiment conducted in the mining area, the support intensity in roof control is analyzed. And finally feasible support requirements are proposed with regards to the particular roof conditions in the mining area.Read More
