Title: Detection of Serum TNF-α,IL-6 and IL-8 in Patients with Gastric Cancer
Abstract: Objective To investigate the change of tumor necrosis factor alpha(TNF α),interleukin 6(IL 6) and interleukin 8(IL 8) levels in the serum of patients with gastric carcinoma and its clinical meaning. Methods Levels of serum TNF α,IL 6 and IL 8 in 35 cases of gastric carcinoma were detected by ELISA,and the data were compared and analyzed with that in benign stomach tumour group and normal control. Results Serum TNF α,IL 6 and IL 8 levels in the gastric carcinoma patients were significantly higher( P 0.01),and related to staging of the disease( P 0.05).After nidi cut, serum TNF α,IL 6 and IL 8 levels decreased significantly( P 0.05).Conclusion It suggested that immune dysfunction exist in patients with gastric carcinoma, higher levels of serum TNF α,IL 6 and IL 8 would associate with genesis and development of the disease and the three cytokines can be considered as new indicators of gastric carcinoma.
