Abstract:The initial reaction temperature of Fe(OH)3 with element sulfur was investigated by differential thermal analysis and thermogravimetry analysis,and the effects of sulfidation temperature,sulfidation t...The initial reaction temperature of Fe(OH)3 with element sulfur was investigated by differential thermal analysis and thermogravimetry analysis,and the effects of sulfidation temperature,sulfidation time,oxidation temperature and water on oxidation pyrophoric property of high temperature sulfur corrosion products were researched.The results show that the initial reaction temperature of Fe(OH)3 with element sulfur is 287.67℃;the oxidation pyrophoric property of sulfur corrosion products becomes more outstanding with the rise of sulfidation temperature,the extension of sulfidation time and the increase of the content of FeS2 in the products.Among them,oxidation temperature has great effect on the oxidation pyrophoric property,oxidation reaction hardly occurs at room temperature,but oxidation reaction rate is greatly accelerated with oxidation temperature exceeding 95℃,which greatly threatens the safety of refining equipments.Besides,the existence of water is also critical to oxidation pyrophoric property,the oxidation reaction hardly occurs without water;however,a bit of water has great effect on oxidation reaction rate.Read More
