Title: INSTRUMENT ANALYSIS OF RESISTIVITY LOGGING-WHILE-DRILLING
Abstract: Resistivity logging-while-drilling method can predict various geologic situations around the borehole and ahead of the drill bit, and can provide favorable evidences for optimizing the drill scheme. On the basis of the analysis of resistivity logging-while-drilling theory, the paper presented the conversion relationship between the electromagnetic field amount and resistivity of the stratum, and computed the prospecting properties of the instrument for logging-while-drilling, including prospecting depth and vertical resolution. The analysis results indicate, compared with phase-shift resistivity logging, attenuation resistivity logging has deeper prospecting depth, but poorer vertical resolution. These conclusions can be used to judge stratum invasion and the surrounding rock situations, and can be referred for data interpretation of resistivity logging-while-drilling.
