Title: Multidetector Computed Tomography Perfusion Imaging in Primary Hepatic Carcinoma
Abstract: Objective: To study the hemodynamic characteristics of primary hepatic carcinomas(PHC).Methods: Multidetector computed tomography perfusion imaging was performed in 94 patients with PHC and 29 control subjects without liver diseases.Hepatic arterial perfusion(HAP),hepatic portal perfusion(HPP),total liver perfusion(TLP),hepatic arterial perfusion index(HAPI) and hepatic portal perfusion index(HPPI) were calculated by the maximum slope method. Results:The HAP and HAPI values in patients with PHC were significantly higher than those in the control group(P0.0001),and HPP,TLP and HPPI values in patients with PHC were markedly lower than those in the control group respectively(P0.0001).Conclusions :Perfusion CT can provide quantitative information about arterial and portal perfusion of liver tumors.Primary hepatic carcinomas demonstrated their hemodynamics as high arterial perfusion and low portal perfusion.
