Title: A Survey of the Relationships between Chinese Characters and the Fate of the Women in Chinese Feminine Literature
Abstract: This article,by surveying many Chinese characters concerning the female gender,puts forward the view that the creation and evolutions of Chinese characters were heavily influenced by the traditional idea of 'Women are inferior to men.' In thousands of years,women's status was merely auxiliary. Because of the rejection of feudist historical books,there was no subjective consciousness or independent personality in feminine Chinese literature before the 20th century. However,with her wonderful unique poems,Qiujin,in Late Qing Dynasty,announced the end of the traditional feminine Chinese literature.
