Title: Anxiety and Depression With Related Factors in Heart Failure Patients
Abstract: Objective:To study the prevalence and related factors of anxiety and depression in patients with heart failure. Methods:A total of 684 heart failure patients involved in this cross-section study.Zung's self-Rating anxiety scale(SAS) and self-rating depression scale(SDS) were used to evaluate the patients in our hospital.The relationship between psychological and clinical variables were assessed.Statistical analysis was performed by unpaired t test or Chi-square test for independent samples. Multiple logistic regression method was used to find out the related factors for patients' anxiety and depression. Results:There were 20.03%of patients were identified for anxiety and 23.39%for depression in our study.Two factors, gender and education,were significantly related with the anxiety,P0.05 respectively.Gender and NYHA classification were significantly related with the depression,P0.05 respectively. Conclusion:Anxiety and depression were particularly common symptoms in patients with heart failure.Female,less educated patients were more correlated to anxiety,while female patients with worse cardiac function were more correlated to depression.
