Title: Circulation Characteristics Analysis of a Rare Light Rain Changing to Heavy Snow Process
Abstract: Using the ground,high-altitude conventional observation data and NCEP global reanalysis data,circulation background and the snowfall causes of the light rain changing to snow weather process in Panjin during February 12-13 of 2009 were analyzed.Focusing on the phase transition time in the rain and snow,the effects of phase transformation time of the precipitation on the this precipitation forecast were discussed.The results showed that circulation adjustments,the polar vortex eastward south,cold air,very active in February Panjin were the main factors of excessive precipitation,warm and cold air evenly matched for a long time to maintain,southwest jet to provide sufficient water vapor condition was the direct cause of the heavy snowfall in Panjin.
