Title: Research and Implementation of a Distributed Satellite Link Simulation System
Abstract: With the development of the satellite network technology, more and more research has been done on satellite network protocols. Because the design and production of one satellite takes a long time and costs very much, an important method for studying satellite protocols is to build a controllable and reviewable simulation environment. In this paper, an architecture for space-based network simulation systems is proposed, which can supply simulation on three most important parameters in satellite communications: bandwidth, delay and bit error rate. Additionally, the proposed architecture resolves the key technologies such as the emulation of virtual multi-links and the modeling of link attributes in the distributed simulation system. Finally, a prototype system is realized to verify the simulation ability of the architecture.
