Title: Research on Innovation Performance and Its Affecting Factors of Industrial Enterprises in China——Empirical Analysis Based on the DEA-Tobit Two-step Method
Abstract: Based on panel data of medium-sized industrial enterprises in 29 provinces and cities in mainland China during 1997-2007,this paper measures the change in its total factor productivity and its decomposition using DEA method,while measures the technical efficiency of the various regions of scale,and the situation of input redundancy and relaxation and output.It also analyzes the relevant factors impacting total factor productivity and its decomposition.The resuit reveals that:in the sample period,total factor productivity,technological progress,have a positive ascent trend;while technical efficiency has a downward trend;the technical efficiency of China's large and medium industrial enterprises,a significant regional differences.R D personnel,R D investment intensity,government financial support,banks financial support,technology transfer,firm size,degree of market competition on total factor productivity have an influence on technical efficiency,technological progress rate and direction in different levels.Based on this,this paper proposes forward-looking policy recommendations to enhance the innovation efficiency of China's large and medium sized enterprises effectively.
