Title: Effects of pre-injecting a low dose of dexmedetomidine medetomidine to preoperation in elderly patients undergoing laryngeal microsurgery
Abstract: Objective To compare the effects of pre-injecting a low dose of dexmedetomidine to preoperation in elderly patients undergoing laryngeal microsurgery. Methods Fifty-nine patients were divided randomly into two groups:control group and dexmedetomidine medetomidine group(observation group). In observation group, dexmedetomidine was administered with a low dose of 0.5mg/kg 10min before anesthesia induction.MAP,HR and blood glucose were detected 10min before induction(T0),before intubating(T1),intubating(T2),suspensing laryngoscopy(T3),5min after extubating(T4).Side effects during preoperation were recorded respectively as well. Results Compared to control group,MAP and HR were significantly lower at T2 、T3 、T4 in observation group(P0.05).MAP of group was significantly higher at T1 compared with control group(P 0.05).In observation group,HR was not significantly different compared with control group at T1(P0.05).Blood glucose of observation group was significantly increase at T4,but less significantly than control group at the identical time point(P 0.05).Conclusion Pre-injecting dexmedetomidine of 0.5mg/kg can effectively maintain stable hemodynamics, induce stress reaction and side effects in elderly patients undergoing laryngeal microsurgery.
