Title: Research on Microstructure and Deposition Technique of Cr_3C_2-25NiCr Coating Sprayed by High Velocity Oxygen Fuel
Abstract: The Cr3C2-25 NiCr coating was prepared on the copper surface of a mold using high velocity oxy-fuel(HVOF)spraying technology. The effects of different parameters on the coating porosity were investigated by the orthogonal experimental design. The microstructure of coatings and the phase composition of powder were analyzed. The results show that the decomposition and oxidation occur in the Cr3C2-25 NiCr coatings during spraying, and the influence of spraying distance on porosity is the largest in the experiment. The best technological parameters are as follows: the oxygen flow 900L/min, kerosene flow 6.0 g/h, spraying distance 375 mm, and coating thickness 0.4 mm. The Cr3C2-25 NiCr coatings prepared after optimization have uniform and compact microstructure and lower porosity. They are combined well with the substrate.
