Title: Simulation of Seismic Energy Response of High-rise Building with Transfer Story
Abstract: The research on seismic energy response of the high-rise buildings with transfer story is carried out by the guidance of the concept of energy based on seismic design method.Traditionally the input energy is calculated after the MDOF is simplified to the SDOF.However,using this method with the model may lack accuracy.The relationship between the elastic input energy of the MDOF and the elastic input energy of the SDOF is derived based on Mode-Superposition method,also the input energy of every floor is figure out by time history analysis method.The research results show that the input energy of the elastic MDOF can be expressed as a linear combination of the input energy of every vibration mode.The research on the example indicates that the first few modes are sufficient to obtain the input energy.The energy concentration will occur at transfer story,and that is proportional to the mass,inversely proportional to the stiffness.
