Title: Research on calculation method about damage of plate subjected to underwater explosion bubble jet
Abstract: Underwater explosion tests near a typical warship section are carried out with the load value and the period of fluid-structure interaction between bubble jet and the rigid wall deduced based on the empirical formula.Under typical conditions the jet impact is estimated by the proposed approach which is applicable for engineering projects.Result shows that the bubble jet can cause greater damage than the shock wave and the jet standing pressure is the main reason causing damage. In addition, the proposed approach is used to calculate interaction period and jet impact which is regarded as a sine-wave input and can meet the precision requirement of the engineering calculation about the underwater explosion.By the comparison of numerical calculation with experimental results,it shows that under typical conditions the measured value of jet peak pressure is accordant with that of through the calculation empirical formula, and this approach can provide a reference for the underwater explosion research.
