Title: An Empirical Analysis on the Changes of Guangdong's Regional Inequality in the New Era
Abstract: This paper studies the trend of changes and characteristics of regional disparity of Guangdong province since 2000,and assesses the regional policy of Guangdong province in the implementation of the scientific concept of development and the integrated plan for regional development,which is designed to reduce the regional Disparity.It concludes that Guangdong Province still remain the characteristics of non-balanced development.However,the force of the balanced development of the province is gradually accumulating and growing,especially after 2003,this force has been gradually equaled with the strength of regional non-balanced development.The gaps between the districts in this province are mainly manifested between the Pearl River Delta and other areas.To the less developed districts,the speed of development and the change mode of regional disparity are not same,and it is due to the different actual results achieved by the three districts to a large extent,when they receive the industries transferred from the Pearl River Delta.All the changes mentioned above is closely relative to the regional development policies.
