Title: A 1.5V Low Power Rail-to-Rail CMOS Operational Amplifier
Abstract: A 1.5V low power rail-to-rail CMOS operational amplifier is implemented with a standard 2-micron P-well CMOS technology. The op-amp adopts two pairs of transconductors as rail-to-rail input stage and applies current fold circuit technique to cut the supply voltage down to VT +3VDS,sat. It also applies rail-to-rail symmetric class-AB output stage that is suitable for low voltage, achieves high drive capability and low harmonic distortion. The chip test results indicate that it consumes only 270μW, achieves 70dB dc open-loop gain, 2.2MHz unity-gain frequency and 60° phase margin for a 100-pF-load capacitance and a 1-K-load resistance.
