Abstract:In order to reasonably determine the width of mine artificial boundary coal pillar,simulation study was carried out on it by using FLAC numerical simulation technique according to the mining condition...In order to reasonably determine the width of mine artificial boundary coal pillar,simulation study was carried out on it by using FLAC numerical simulation technique according to the mining conditions of a single coal seam,the repeated mining conditions of both upper and lower seams and their different mining sequence,the numerical simulation results showed that since the stress distribution of coal mining and the distribution characteristics of the plastic zone were different,the width of the mine boundary coal pillar to be established was also different,which might be up to 40m to 50m or more.The width of the boundary coal pillar required for the repeated mining of coal seams was about 10m larger than that for the mining of a single one.The numerical simulation result is consistent with the pillar width not less than 40m which was specified in the Rules for Prevention and Control of Mine Water Hazards,and it is even clearer and has more practical guiding significance.Read More
