Title: Optimization Analysis of Buried Depth and Segment Thickness of Shield Tunnel Crossing below the Yellow River

The results show that:( a) the larger principal stress and shear stress appear at the side waist of surrounding rock, while the buried depth is the main factor which impacts the rock pressure, land subsidence and segment deformation;( b) although segment thickness is not the major cause affecting land subsidence,in general, increasing the segment thickness can be conducive to ensuring tunnel safety. Finally,by means of comparison, the buried depth of Lanzhou Metro shield tunnel crossing below the Yellow River is determined to be 25 m,with the segment thickness of 350mm.Read More
