Title: Life Philosophy of Taoism and Liu Xie's Theory of Yangqi
Abstract: The Six Dynasties of Han and Wei were an important period for the maturity of Taoism but an initial stage for Taoist theories as well. While Liu Xie venerated Buddhism but opposed Taoism,he did not entirely negate Taoism.Instead,by virtue of the unique vision of life philosophy of Taoism,Liu Xie managed to discern the intrinsic relationship between literary creation and writers' shen and qi,thus having advanced the innovative theory of yangqi, which was his great contribution to literary theories.
