Title: Design and Operation Results of 150t/D Municipal Solid Waste Fluidized Bed Incinerator
Abstract: A differential density fluidized bed municipal solid waste (MSW) incineration technology was developed by Zhejiang University. The technology focuses on treating Chinese MSW, which is more complicate comoponents, high moisure and low heat value. A 150t/D MSW incinerator had been retrofitted from a 35t/h coal firing grate boiler and put into operation in August 1998. Some effects on incinerator's performance are analyzed based on operation results, such as MSW treatment capacity and bed temperature. Further, the steam capacity changing rate, pollutant emissions and economic performance of the incinerator are also discussed in the paper. The above results will lay a good foundation for further researching on MSW incineration technology. Figs 5, tables 4 and refs 6.
