Title: Application of polyaniline/carbon composite material in hybrid supercapacitor
Abstract: Polyaniline/activated carbon composite material was synthesized by in-situ polymerization method. Hybrid capacitor was fabricated by using PANI/C as positive electrode and activated carbon as negative electrode, 1 mol/L H2SO4 solution as electrolyte and Nafion 117 as separator. The capacitance performance of the hybrid capacitor was investigated by cyclic voltammetry, electrochemical impedance spectroscopy, galvanostatic charge-discharge. The results show that the capacitor performs well in the potential range of 0-1.35 V. The specific capacitance reached 83.1 F/g at the current density of 3 mA/cm2, increased 82% than activated carbon capacitor. The energy density amounted to 21.0 Wh/kg, three times larger than the activated carbon capacitor. After 1 000 cycles of charge-discharge, the specific capacitance maintained 89.1%, revealed a good cycle life.
