Title: TWO NEW SPECIES OF TETRIGOIDEA(ORTHOPTERA) FROM BEIBUWAN REGION OF GUANGXI,CHINA
Abstract: In this paper,two new species of Tetrigidae are described. Type specimens are deposited in the Institute of Zoology, Shaanxi Normal University,China.Euparatettix circinihumerus sp.nov.(Figs.1-3)The new species is allied to Euparatettix yunnanensis Zheng et Xie, 2000, but differs in: 1) width of vertex narrower than width of an eye; 2) with a pair of abbreviated carinae between shoulders; 3) width of tegmina 1.4 times the width of midfemur; 4) female with a triangular projecting in the middle of hind margin of subgenital plat; and 5)posterior tibia filemot.♀ Length of body 7.8mm, length of pronotum 10.2mm, length of hind femur 5.8mm.Holotype ♀, Guangxi Hepu(Shikangjiujiang)(21.7°N, 109.3°E; alt.80m), 12 Feb.2005, collected by WEI Shi-Zhen. Paratypes 2♀♀, same data as holotype.Etymology. The species name is derived from the Latin circin and humer,meaning the round humeral angle.Euparatettix guinanensis sp.nov. (Figs.4-5)The new species is allied to Euparatettix spicuvertex Zheng, 1998, but differs in: 1) median segment of antennae 3-4 times as long as its width; 2) median carina of pronotum low, not lamellar; 3) humeral angles of pronotum round; 4) hind wing reaching over the top of posterior pronotal process about 1.5mm; 5) lower of margins of middle femora straight; 6) antegenicular denticles and genicular denticles right angle; 7) length of posterior femora 4.7 times of its width; and 8) out part of lower side of hind femur not black. ♂ Length of body 5-6mm, length of pronotum 8.8-9.2mm, length of hind femur: 4.2-4.6mm.Holotype ♂, Guangxi Beihai(Yinpan) (21.4°N, 109.4°E, alt. 50m), 10 Feb. 2005; collected by WEI Shi-Zhen. Paratypes 4♂♂,same data as holotype. Etymology. The species name is from the type locality Guangxi.
