Title: Photometric determination of iodine in edible salt by oxidation decoloration of chrysoidine
Abstract: A new spectrophotometric method for the determination of iodine in salt was developed,based on the reaction of iodate with chrysoidine(C12H12N4·HCl) in a strong acid medium in this paper.There is a strong absorption at 455 nm.The linear range of determination is 0~50 μg/mL.The recoveries are 101.7%~105.7%.The RSD is less than 0.84%.The accuracy and precision were satisfactory.
