Title: Implementation Scheme of the FIR Filter Based on TMS320F240 DSP
Abstract: Finite impulse response (FIR) digital filter, which is an important application of modern digital signal processor, has been applied in many fields. According to the structural features of TMS320F240 DSP and making full use of the on-chip RAM, this paper optimizes the instruction code of the FIR filter's calculation, and puts forward a kind of effective implementation scheme of the FIR filter. In order to increase the operational speed of the program, the method adopted by this filter is to store the parameters of the filter and the input sampled data treated each time into the on-chip space for obtaining the best operational speed. The results show that this method, which possesses the rapidity and accuracy, can restrain the harmonic wave of the converter effectively.
