Abstract:The corrosion of X70 pipeline steel in soils of five test sites at Inner Mongolia was studied by burying the steel specimens for two years.The corrosion morphology of the buried steel specimens as obs...The corrosion of X70 pipeline steel in soils of five test sites at Inner Mongolia was studied by burying the steel specimens for two years.The corrosion morphology of the buried steel specimens as observed by SEM and the corrosion products were analyzed by using EDS and XRD. The results showed that the difference in corrosion rates of the steel was large in the five field soils. The maximum of corrosion rate 8.2924 g/dm~2·d was observed for X70 buried at the test site at Bameng area.The corrosion rates of X70 for two years are lower than those for one year.The corrosion products were mainly consisted of Fe_3O_4 and FeO.Read More
