Title: Clinical Research of Treatment of 72 Cases of Acute Edematous Pancreatitis by Octreotide
Abstract: Objective To investigate the therapeutic effect of octreotide on acute edematous pancreatitis by.Methods The clinical data of 72 patients with acute edematous pancreatitis in our hospital from March 2006 to August 2011 were analyzed.There was no difference in age,gender,cause of disease,onset time,classification by CT,et al.All patients were randomly divided into treatment group(40 cases) and control group(32 cases).The levels of serum amylase and C-reactive protein after the treatment,time in remission of abdominal pain and resuming taking foods,hospitalization time were statistically analyzed between the two groups.Results Thirty-eight patients in treatment group were cured with an effective rate of 95%;twenty-five patients in control group were cured with an effective rate of 78%,the difference was significant(P0.05).After treatment,the evaluating indexes such C-reactive protein level,time in remission of abdominal pain,time in resuming taking foods and hospitalization time,but not serum amylase level,in the treatment group were better as compared to the control group(P0.05).Conclusion Octreotide has a better clinical effect on acute edema pancreatitis.
