Title: CT-guided percutaneous biopsy of small lung lesions
Abstract: Objective To evaluate the clinical application of CT-guided percutaneous biopsy of small lung lesions. Materials and Methods Thirty five patients of lung lesions smaller than 3cm in diameter underwent CT-guided percutaneous biopsy using automatic cutting needle. The results of biopsy were compared with surgical pathology and clinical follow up. Results Forty small lesions of 35 patients included 22 cases of lung cancer 6 cases of tuberculosis 7 cases of inflammatory pseudotumor CT-guided biopsy detected 84% of cases with lung cancer correctly. There were no false positive cases. Conclusion CT-guided percutaneous biopsy of small lung lesions has a high accuracy. It is important to make the patients cooperate well and improve the doctor’s operating skill.
