Title: Analysis on Sediment and Runoff Generation Processes of Bare and Vegetation Slopes under Natural Rainfall Condition
Abstract: [Objective] The research aimed to analyze generated characteristics of sediment and runoff on bare and vegetation slopes under natural rainfall condition.[Method] 10° and 15° bare and vegetation slopes were the test object.The generated characteristics of sediment and runoff on bare and vegetation slopes,relationship between rainfall and sediment amount under natural rainfall condition were analyzed.[Result] The sediment and runoff amounts of bare and vegetation slopes both related to rainfall,gradient and vegetation.The relationships of accumulated sediment and runoff amounts on each slope were all 15° bare slope10° bare slope 15° vegetation slope10° vegetation slope.Under the natural rainfall condition,the sediment amount on each slope and rainfall all presented power function relationship.[Conclusion] Under the same gradient condition,the sediment and runoff amounts of vegetation slope were smaller than that of bare slope.It illustrated that vegetation slope had good water and soil conservation effect.
